Nutrigenomics New Zealand is the first large multi-disciplinary team from Crown Research Institutes (CRIs) and a major university that has been established for the benefit of New Zealand health and the New Zealand food industry.
Nutrigenomics New Zealand was initiated in 2004. The programme is a collaboration between The University of Auckland, AgResearch Limited and Plant & Food Research.
We undertake multidisciplinary collaborative research focused on building an understanding of food, food components, autoimmune diseases and gut health. We use nutrigenomics tools and technologies to support the food industry by providing validated research results for use in product development and marketing of new products, delivering science that addresses their specific requirements.
