Dirk Haller

Dirk Haller is an Asistant Professor, and Head of Immunobiology of Nutrition, at the Center for Nutrition and Food Research, at the Technical University of Munich.  He works in molecular mechanisms of bacteria-epithelial cell interactions and host-derived signal transduction in the intestinal epithelium under conditions of chronic inflammation, intestinal epithelial cell proteome in animal models of experimental ileitis, colitis and patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and in molecular mechanisms of nutrient-mediated protective effects under chronic intestinal inflammation
