Jerry Wells

Prof. Wells graduated from Gonville & Caius College in the University of Cambridge with a PhD in
1987. In 2004 he received an MBA (with distinction) from The University of Nottingham, U.K. Previous posts include Max Planck Fellowship (MPI für Biochimie, Munich), BBSRC Advanced Fellow in the University of Cambridge Department of Pathology, co-Director of the Cortecs Centre for Vaccine Discovery in Cambridge and Head of Bacterial Infection & Immunity at the Institute of Food Research, Norwich. He is currently Chair of the Host-Microbe Interactomics Group in The University of Wageningen, Netherlands.
Prof. Wells has around 20 years of research experience in the field of infection and immunity including mucosal vaccination and delivery. He has recently developed a major interest in the field of host-microbial interactions at mucosal surfaces and intestinal-health related research.
