Career

Originally a plant breeder with DSIR/HortResearch from 1982 to 1998, I then set up the Research Office at Unitec (New Zealand’s largest and most research-active polytechnic) before starting my research management consultancy business in 2004. During that time I worked in the hospital and IT sectors, and ran a number of research management professional development workshops in New Zealand and Australia. Most of my research history was very applied and interactive with my target sectors, an approach I bring to this role.
